I have read that people are having trouble getting through on the site.  Probably down to the fact that everyone is now trying to get Visas as the holiday season is in full swing and the Scottish schools are now on holiday and the English/Welsh/N.Irish will be soon.  So rush to get Visas.  My daughter applied last week with no problems. Perhaps better to try later in the evening and not at the weekend?

Hi has the Turkish entrance visa increased from £10? also some holiday sites say you can still get your visa at airport
until the end of the 2014 summer season, has anyone done this?

The Visa is now $20.00 about £12.00 online.   If you wait until you get to Dalaman Airport you will be charged £20.00 each.  After December 2014  All visas will have to be bought online.

Thanks Jacqui I got my visa online last night, save any hassle as our flight arrives 2.15am sun. I noticed the visa now has 180dys
after returning home, in the past 90dys. I imagine this is the reason for the price increase, double the price double the staying time  :)

Don't go spooking people! The price has only gone up to £12 approx. - 20% rise, not double the price. As to double the staying time, if you are just an ordinary tourist you don't need to be opening that can of worms. Many keyboards have been worn out writing about the 90/180 rule.

Not entirely correct, there will still be the option to buy the visa on arrival using machines similar to ATM's or parking payment machines for those who's nationality requires one.  Whether they'll have them at DLM I don't know but they will definitely be at IST, SAW and ESB.

So what is this article in today's Daily Hurriyet about ?

http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/turkeys-online-visa-procedure-victimizing-tourists.aspx?pageID=238&nID=70634&NewsCatID=341

It says the e-visas are only valid in Istanbul and Ankara

I think it is claptrap. Perhaps Hurriyet have started employing ex-Daily Mail hacks.
