Having searched the archive I can find no recent information on where the nearest golf course is. We have friends who play and have asked if there's a local one. Does anyone know? Thanks, Bob.

I think the nearest one is Sarigerme near Dalaman. Otherwise you need to head off towards Antalya where there are a few courses.

GOLF IN DALAMAN SARIGERME IN 2013

Hilton Guest relations and website of Hilton has confirmed that there is NO Golf in 2013 without giving any reason. I understand there is a ongoing court case regarding this matter..

Golf Course will be run by Hilton Dalaman Golf Resort in Sarigerme. Supposed to be up and running latest by 2009 however there is still no sign from Golf activity.

Apparently Court has dismissed and canceled the Golf course planning, therefore Golf course could not open. Apparently Hilton or thompson will come back with re-plan regarding golf course.

There is no other place in sarigerme and dalaman area where you can play Golf at this moment. The nearest place where you can play golf would be in Antalya which is about 4 Hours drive

Yes that's right Andy - in fact, the Hilton Hotel had to change it's name quite a while ago, it opened as the Hilton Dalaman Golf Resort & Spa and was changed to the present Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Spa. The golf course was indeed promised to be open by 2009.

16 Courses at Belek ,  :) 2 courses at Bodrum   :) , 1course at Kusadasi    :) 4 courses at Istanbul ,  :)   we have a local Golf Society in Uzumlu  who organise trips two or three times a year .Facebook page Uzumlu Golf Society !!! Contact me if you would like more info !
