Calis Car Boot Rumours
« on: February 13, 2014, 19:09:12 PM »
It has been bought to our attention today that there are rumours going around that Sundays Calis Car Boot Sale has been cancelled.  The Car Boot Sale is definitely ON.

The 3C's were concerned about possible traffic problems with the road closures along the canal and the traffic feeding along the promenade but we have met with the head of the Belediye's Zabita and the issues have been resolved.  The promenade is now closed to traffic once more.

We hope to see as many of you as possible on Sunday - and the weather forecast is looking good at the moment  8)  :) (unlike UK)

I was just thinking that. Back in our day Loz, it would have been the boot sale is off as Pete & Chrissie have taken all the money and legged it back to the UK :D

Quite like the thought of you two guys opening a "Carnival bar" in Main Street. It would be packed every night. xxx

Incredibly, as another of the "main subjects" of rumours in Calis, this is the first I have ever heard of your "Carnival Bar" in the main street. I'm disappointed, that could just have worked!

I think in 5 years of rumours about us you couldn't beat the rumour put about by a certain British restaurant owner that we had "done a midnight flit" without telling a soul as we had to "leave in a hurry". That being the same woman who was there at 10:30am with many others, to say goodbye and wish us all well. Oh, she also arranged our airport transfer, some time before.

Truth be told Keith we actually encouraged the rumour  that we were opening a bar after we had been seen looking at the furniture that was up for sale in the bar that eventually became Ali's bar. We wanted to see just how long it would take to go round and get back to us and how the Chinese whispers would have changed it   ;)  It looks like we failed miserably with you on this  :D
