The Mayor of Fethiye WOuld Like to Meet You :)

Fethiye mayor Behçet Saatçi is delighted with the support for him and his efforts - as noted in the Mayor poll where he so far has a touch over 90% of the vote.

He has sent a message that also mentions that while he is aware that most CBF members do not have a vote, he feels he represents you just as much as those who do. He has proposed a meeting for those expats living in the Fethiye area so he can meet some of you and you can ask about things that are important to you locally.

A meeting is proposed for this coming Tuesday (25th) in the afternoon, in Fethiye.

All members are welcome to attend, the only thing that is needed is an idea of total numbers. So please feel free to take this as an invitation to you. To keep track of numbers if you can and will attend just add your name(s) below.

This is a great opportunity to find out future plans, and for Behçet Saatçi bey to also get to know what is important to you guys.

Unfortunately I will not be in Turkey at this time, but I have a question that I would like asked by anyone who will attend the meeting.--
Will there be a footbridge across the canal to replace the one taken down, and also a footbridge to connect the two parts of Yerguzlar Caddesi.

I would love to attend but will not be out until the 30th March 14 but what an inspired Mayor he must be and what a level of support he has. Good luck with the meeting.

I would have loved to attend this meeting but not in Turkey til March.

Please let Behçet Saatçi know, Scunner, that numbers attending the meeting may not truly reflect the interest and passion that us non Turks have for Fethiye and that we are all keeping a weather eye on the elections.
