It seems like the Fethiye area is becoming quite the location for movies - Russell Crow's new film about Gallipoli is being shot in Kaya village  - see the article in Fethiye Times today

Sounds like it could be a good film, and I like the work of Crow, he chooses his films well.  So if this is his first film as a director it is likely to be good.  Mind you I do hate watching films set in area I know and I get myself distracted when watching the film when I spot something I know ... doh!

I'd also like to see a film on Gallipoli from a British perspective.  Too many film and documentary makers potray Gallipoli as only involving Australian and New Zealand troops, which was far from true, there were large numbers of Brits (Including many Irish regiments), Indian and also French troops.  The only parts for Brits in many of these Australian films/programmes is boorish English Officers and incompetent General Staff.

If it's anything like Skyfall then it may as well be in Rhyl for what we will see of the local area.

Being in Kaya, does it have anything to do with "Birds Without Wings"?
