Part quote from Jacqui;
"Lets make a date for next Thursday, we could have a long chat about Haggis, Gordon, or you might prefer Grouse??"

Jacqui, I will be there, and more than happy to have a "Grouse" about any subject you wish, except antiques !!   ;D

Me neither, I never mix business with pleasure.   I seldom ever tell anyone what I do, when I am out, at say, a function, made that mistake years ago, it ends up everyone wants to tell you about some treasure they have and ask you what it's worth  It's amazing just how many people want a free valuation.

A friend of mine took an article to an appraisal show a few years back, he told the expert that it had been in his attic since he was a child, and he had inherited the house from his late parents, brought the said artefact out of the attic in order to find out what it was, and if it was worth anything. The expert cast his eye over it, and said, "it's worth about £50.00 for scrap, and I hope you have a plumber friend, it's your bloody cold water tank "!!!!!!!!       ;)  :o

I have to say I love my bed, and I don't get up early in the morning either.  At about 7.30 am the dog whinges outside my door and we both snuggle down for another hour or so.  When my now adult son was born he never slept more than a few hours at a time, for the first two years of his life, this made me totally neurotic about sleep.  A glass (or two) of wine in the evening and I can easily sleep for 10 hours.  My mother informs me that I was like it as a child, and while my brothers were eager to have any excuse to stay up late, I was always ready for bed. So, to get back to Gordons question 9pm is too late for me.

But you are still enthusiastic and want to keep your hand in, so are willing to take a look??? ;D :o

Re the Chat Room I have been in a few times but it does not seem to start until about 11.00pm.  So perhaps we should say we will all be there earlier??
