I too am very sorry indeed to hear what you went through Loz and Gordon...
I too took my rose coloured glasses off a good few years back when I had an awful experience, completely and utterly not on the scale of what happened to you both but enough to traumatise me for a good year after and enough to make me not want to ever return to Turkey at that point in my life...
I wish all the folk that have made Turkey their home all the very best and it really is an indivual choice but I am soooo glad I listened to my hubby and did not sell up over here (with hindsight it would not have been possible anyway)... Those recent riots and that is anywhere in the world if I had happened to be where they were occurring I would have been terrified... The last 6 months or year or so some of the things that have happened in Turkey have seriously made us question whether we want to go quite as much as we did before...
