Gyms
« on: March 17, 2014, 10:21:46 AM »
Can I have an update on gyms in Calis Beach, where they are and what facilities they offer, if anyone knows I would be grateful to hear.  Thank you.

The only two I have used are I think it’s called B52 (owned by the same people) top end of BMV a bit rough and ready everything you need bike’s, Xtrainer, running machine and free weights at the time I was there it was September it was 10tl a day or 50tl a week the other one was not far from the dolphin- less roundabout very similar equipment to B52 but not as rough and ready the young girl who worked there was very pleasant but didn’t speak English  if I remember it was 15tl a day and I think 80tl a week.
B52 had a sauna but it was never on you didn’t need it some mornings it was reaching 38 degrees before 11am  ( no air conditioning just open windows)
The other one had a sauna, small swimming pool and air con
Hope this helps

There's also the Collesseum, not too far from Sunday market. I don't know what they offer, but they have been there for a couple of years, so would suspect that it has already been discussed

There are the free exercise machines dotted around, walk or cycle to them and we have an enormous free swimming pool right next to the promenade. There are some great local walks / treks. Why pay to use a gym when there are so many opportunities to exercise in fresh air in stunning surroundings.

My husband had a back operation last year and one of his legs really needs building up again as it's weak, so he has to use the gym every week to exercise it.   This is what has been advised by his Surgeon and his physiotherapist has given him specific exercises,  he is doing the gym here at home, but wants to continue in Turkey.

Jacqui. If you have a pool, then it's worth chatting to a physio before you come to see If they can teach him any aqua based aerobic exercises..got to be worth asking?
