Well, my reason for posting was "where does one find up to date news in this area". I then went on to explain why, and yes I did join the back of a gawping crowd who were watching the proceedings, as I think anyone would have, we're all human. Except for you Gordon, you would have probably moved back to a safe distance, as if one person doing so would have made that much difference. I must apologise for my curiosity as to regards if there was anyone seriously injured in that fire. The fact that I called myself nosey in a self deprecating fashion was merely to lighten the post! I certainly didn't expect to be shot down in flames by some pompous prat on here, who obviously loves to miss the point and then go on to  criticise others, very rude

Yes, very rude.
John saw the plumes of smoke and went to investigate. I was terrified as he wasn't back for ages, last week he came home covered in blood after helping a car accident victim, and when he didn't return for a while I had visions of him diving into burning buildings.
Yes, you lightened it by saying you were being nosy, I said to John he was nosy, but he said yes, partly to see what was going on, but also to see if anything was needed, being the dialysis centre made it even more concerning.
We were actually very surprised how quickly they had it under control.
The fire engines are very old. Definitely look like they should be replaced!

If any of you people had ever had the fantastic pleasure to ever have been in my most illustrious company, I am sure that ALL of you would declare that I am the least pompous person in the world. Perhaps one of the most handsome, clever, helpful, modest people that it is possible to meet, but pompous, who Sir ?, me Sir, No Sir, how dare you, how VERY dare you .
I have apologised, what else do you want, blood, my wisdom teeth ??
