It's easy to stay logged in and I cannot see what is wrong with doing that, saves putting in your details all the time.

I have access to 10 different computers and devices just at work, without my personal ones and stay logged in to all of them.

Not a good idea to stay logged in on a work machine if someone else has access to it...

Staying logged in used to be a bit of a problem but as John says now the main reason is to protect yourself against others accessing your account. Previously (on the old CBF style forum) people would stay logged on for days on end and the active topics would be set to refresh at regular intervals - and if a few dozen did that their data usage (and more importantly our bandwidth) was being added to every minute or so, serving pages to people who hadn't been on in days.

But it's not much of a problem these days, we have no bandwidth limit so please feel free to stay logged in for years if you prefer to  :)

I'm tinkering with the access levels for guests & members and that is why some sections have been member only in recent days. I can't find the combination I was hoping for so slowly I'm returning it to what you all know and love. Can't have Yaz being unable to have a lunchtime browse  ;)

Sorry I don't know how you quote from one section of message on here so I will do it this way.

Scunner Quote;

I'm tinkering with the access levels for guests & members and that is why some sections have been member only in recent days. I can't find the combination I was hoping for so slowly I'm returning it to what you all know and love.

So what would  your tinkering mean for members "if" you decided to tinker with the access level.
Surely tinkering with something that is running smoothly is a sure way of making it run not so smooth.
Unless of course your a master at tinkering lol. I think I can guess your reply Scunner   :)
