Calis Beach has so much potential , if each bar on the front took care of their part of the beach it could become one of the very best places to sit in the sun and enjoy the beautiful scenery around. Also the bars would make more money from the customers using their part of the beach.  :)

So glad someone has pointed out that Bella Mama, plus the restaurant next door and the berlin DID in fact help clean the beach - not sure how people can comment on who exactly was on the beach clearing up as there seemed quite a lot.   We use Bella Mama a lot, and wouldn't dream of boycotting it on unfounded comments.  Well done everyone for clearing the beach.   Look forward to seeing it next month.

Well done to everybody who has contributed to the cleaning of the beach great effort and I hope it will carry on, but shouldn’t this be the norm the idea“leave it for someone else “baffles me especially when so many bars/restaurants could with a bit of thought and graft make extra revenue from the beach, you just have to go to Sat or Guvens and see how busy there part of the beach is. My wife and I will go at least twice to Guvens when there for 2 weeks even though were not beach lovers we love just sitting looking out at some of the best views around and we can spend 70-80 lira in a couple of hours and we aren’t the only ones. I am sure they will get it right but the cleaning of the beach seems to be a problem every other year and it needs sorting out once and for all

So now that the beach is clean will it continue?I spent many hours last year at Caret ta and did not mind at all spending money at lunchtime , a few beers and a sandwich .This was all it cost us to sit on a clean beach with service if we wanted. We are spending 2 weeks at the Kaan in August which is opposite end of beach, will we get same treatment?Does this mean the restaurants will provide sunbeds free of charge if we frequent their premises? We are frequent visitors to Turkey and found the sunbeds rather expensive .

I don't think the comments where unfounded. An expat was on the beach and reported the following
......................................
It was a great success, Volkan looked after everybody so well, he had the music playing, supplied free tea, coffee and water, then gave everybody free ice creams and a bacon bap after the work was done, it seemed most restaurants got involved, notable absence though from Bella Mammas, the former Kasaba and Hotel Berlin. Shame really.

The bars and restaurants would like to offer services like that more than anything - it all depends on local politics as to whether they would be allowed to. Yet to be answered.

Is the Kaan nearer to Koco Calis, or Calis beach?
