Apparently, the system for paying your ( I think it's called) estate tax? We would call it rates. Has been out of order following the elections and boundary changes, this has now been corrected and you can make payments at either your local Municipality office or at the main Belediye office in Fethiye.
Despite some people claiming they have been able to pay water bills at certain places, My contact had no knowledge of this and said that even up to last Wednesday when the Govenor of Mugla came to town for a meeting, it still remained unresolved.
Roads, from what I can gather the drainage and road reinstatement project and the road improvement project was split between two agencies, the former being the National DSI agency who look after everything water related and the latter being Mugla.
It seems the DSI has now exhausted it's budget for this project with many canal side roads remaining unmade after recent work. Following the meeting with Mugla Govenor last week, the problem remains unresolved and has now been escalated to Ankara. Of course, while this situation remains, residents can't understand why certain roads (like around the Sunday market area) continue to be improved yet the road Behind the beach hotels remains a mess. He has promised further updates when he has more information.
