Well the other side of the coin is workmen turn up when they say, although it may be a little late.  When they finish the job I am delighted with it, even when they do the job and I am in England.  They clean up and remove all the rubbish.  They deliver within a day and as for furniture they put it all together and remove all packaging when they go.  I am more than impressed with the standard of work that has been done for us over the last 12 months and in the case of the young man who fitted our curtains and blinds, he came back to tell us he had charged us an extra 20tl and to refund it, I have never had anything like that happen in the U.K.

All these posts may be true, Unless you employ the services of one Mehmet Hira, turns up on time WITH his own tools, charges EXACTLY what he quoted you, AND, leaves your premises spotlessly clean. Oh, by the way, his grasp of the English language is second to none !!   8)

Nice to see someone give praise where they think it's due. Mehmet sounds, sound.

This website is crammed with people giving praise where they think it is due. What's the problem with one topic that isn't doing that  :)

A hammer,  a screwdriver and a cold-chisel are all he needs. Oh and a dozen tubes of mastic.
[/quote]

A Cold Chisel to use as a wedge on your front door in case you come home unexpectedly while he`s using A Hammer to try and smash your safe open, when that doesn`t work he uses A Screwdriver to prise the coins out of your kids money box   :)
