Road Improvements
« on: May 27, 2014, 14:49:17 PM »
A friend sent us pictures of outside our villa. The road and garden outside was bulldozed yesterday. Thank god we removerd the plants
we wanted to keep when last over.
I understood from some postings that work had stopped due to no more money but the guy who does our pool says this means they are
starting our road. Its only a dirt track now s though it will be messy while its done at least the dust will be less. Hope he's right but am preparing to bring my climbing boots when we come over on Friday. It would be lovely to think it might be done by the time we return to England mid July. Keeping fingers (and toes) crossed

Hi, where abouts is your villa?

As my name suggests, I am staying in a villa on Cevdet Oskay cd in a few weeks.  I was there a couple of years ago and road improvements were going on at the time, has all the work in this area been finished now?

Yes, all done there now, but the road that runs along from that road passing the canal on either side is a right mess, all dug up and uneven.
I also noted on the market road, the road that runs down to the Tirkayi Hotel is all dug up and closed off.

Thanks Jacqui, that should be fun with a one-year old in a pushchair then, especially as I seem to remember this area being not very well lit at night!  Better pack a torch I think! :-)

We are just off Yerguslar Cd behind Tansas near Sunday market in a small complex of 4 villas.
Roads are much better than when you were last here its just down by canal/front its a mess.
All main roads and  roads round Lessa were finished when we there late April. Around Sunday Market pavements were nearly finished.
Area on Cafe Pazar well finished. BMB and market road now lovely

That sounds good, we will be staying just up the road from Café Pazar, last year the road was disgusting, the only footwear worth packing was wellies, perhaps I might pack my sandals, only 2 more sleeps to go!! :D

3 nights to go for us. Cant wait. Get withdrawal symptons after 6 weeks away. if it wasnt for our darling little 8month grandson I'd be there all summer(except Aug- too hot). If hubby would retire i might let him join me.

Think you might have problems with this visa need to think carefully about time out here, and now the residence permit is costing so much and only for 1 year it's a problem.
