Why are the same bars used every year for the auction?  I for one never attend as I think it so unfair that the others are not included.

Personally, i don't give a damn where it is held.  As long as we can have a good night and raise money for the kids the venue is of little importance to Phil and I...

Good on you Jacqui and Phil and without you the Children's charity would be much poorer and I'd be a lot richer, please, where do you find those gorgeous, often antique and always such desirable items that the ladies especially fall in love with at our auctions? Anyway, wherever it is is, stop it! I'll be broke if you don't xx

Anyway let's get back to the Promises Auction which is the biggest earner of the year for The 3cs. Please go and bag yourself a bargain which helps underprivileged kids..

One of the bars at the last Xmas fair refused to move his tables a few inches to allow a stall holder to sit down, despite previously agreeing to let us have that space outside.
Last laugh was on the several stall holders who wouldn't so much as buy a bottle of water from there for the whole 7 or so hours as he was so unhelpful.

Yes, there's a lot more to all this "hand in hand for Calis" malarkey than meets the untrained eye.

I walked along the prom last night and the Beach House Bar music could be heard from 100 yards away. Is it really necessary to have the music belting out so loudly and dominating the whole prom? I personally wouldn't want to sit in any of the bars along that particular stretch listening to their version of "entertainment", and I don't think its fair to the other bars along that stretch to be drowned out by it.

Madmart contacted me today, he is upset about the backlash he received after his comment. I pointed out that saying you won't attend these hard planned charity events because of where they are held isn't likely to go down well. He came back with quite a defense -

He claimed he didn't say it.

And if you check back to page 3 of this topic - HE DIDN'T!!! He quoted it.

Humble pie time  :)

Let's hope the Beach bar stands up to the mark next week. And well done to all for your tolerance under the circumstances. ☺
