We have been to the Sini lokanta in Calis (where the Shamrock used to be).  it is excellent - we have had two meals at night there - you do get puffy bread and the chilli/yoghurt starter which is yummy, then we opted for the aubergine mousaka, a chicken dish, green beans and cous cous - very very reasonable and delicious.   We have also been there three times for lunches their spicy lentil soup is really tasty.  Thoroughly recommend it.

Puffy bread? That is the only thing I have found in Turkey that is less interesting than brain soup.

No, it's not  gunisik, it's the same side of the road, a few doors away going towards the roundabout.

I love the puffy bread - it would be a sad and boring world if we all liked the same thing. Each to their own.

It would appear this lokanti is something to do with Mr Mehmet formerly the Orient, a gentleman whom we first met 25 years ago and who we were delighted to see 2 nights ago in the lokanti with his lovely wife. We were next door at the oceana!  I was sad to hear his wife has some health issues which precipitated the move from the orient to afford more time with family etc. however it looks like the new place is doing well and building a good reputation.
