I have never tried "kuvalti", but I do enjoy a Turkish breakfast, called " Kahvaltı", absolutely fantastic meal !! :P    ;)

Correcting someone's spelling when there is a humorous element in the error is usually ok - maybe the humour is too subtle for me in this one?   :-\

Bluwise, as a fellow G.&.T. fan, did you have one at Vojo"s or was it too early?   I had a very strange G.&.T. tasted really sweet.  I asked Oddjob what tonic they used and he said Schweppes.  I told him that my drink did not taste like a Schweppes G.&.T.   He took it away and brought another, which tasted the same, so I reckon it was the tonic and did not bother ordering another.

Yes, was a little too early even for me Jacqui  -  :o
Daring to go off topic for a quick comment - have noticed the Tonic seems to be more consistently fizzy this year - not sent one back yet.  Maybe I'm just acclimatised now ?

I watched the tonic being poured in George's and it was a bottle of Schweppes, have to say I do prefer Schweppes. Seems more and more places are getting the message and using the good stuff.   We did actually see some slimline tonic this time.  It was for sale in the Ay De Market.  Very small bottles of Britvic just enough for one glass and it was 3.50 a tin.

The irony of the whole spelling saga is that volkan says the same thing..as if that impacted in anyway on what we were given for breakfast complete with eyelash and a cockroach landing on Aisha,s mums shoulder..

Were you inside when the beastie landed on the shoulder of Aisha's Mum?  If you were outside it could have come from an umbrella??

Agreed Jacqui, I too have seen cockroaches or " hamamböceği ", sheltering beneath umbrellas, & then loupin' out upon the first unsuspecting, Turkish Breakfast seekers !! ;-)
On the spelling thingymabob, if one is using a foreign language, at least do the natives the small courtesy of spelling everyday words correctly. I thank you, and yes, I can teach others the nuances of the Turkish language, but it can be expensive ;-) !!

And you obviously not been on here long enough to know how to use the quote facility...

By the way, its kahvaltı, not kahvalti.
