Room for One More VERY Worthy Cause?
« on: July 21, 2014, 20:51:01 PM »
Apologies - I know CBF members are continuously being offered different ways to be parted from their hard earned to help raise funds for various charities. But this one is a one off, not a CBF cause but a valued member's cause. Here are the details...

You may or may not know the ‘Other’ Campbell family on CBF…. June and her son Gav Campbell, hugely (and slightly irritatingly) popular with other forum members who have had the pleasure...well they would love us to help Gav with some sponsorship which is in memory of Dear Little Jasper.

Jasper passed away last October from Leukaemia he was only 2 and a half years old, the whole family were devastated as you might imagine, however they have never forgotten Birmingham Children's Hospital and The Anthony Nolan Foundation who played a huge part not only in Jaspers life but also in theirs too…and they have continued to fundraise for these charities relentlessly.

Gav and his brother Si (Jaspers Daddy) and many of their mates are cycling from Silverstone to Monza covering 800 miles in 9 days, they set off on Thursday 28th August and arrive in Monza on Friday 5th September all for charity, please can you find it in your hearts to sponsor Gav, it doesn’t matter how small the amount is it all will be appreciated…it can be done by clicking the link below….make sure you tick that its gift aid as that makes a huge difference of 25% that is added to the amount….

No obligation whatsoever but on behalf of those Campbells, any support would mean the World, I can assure you...thanks for listening.

I have not meet June or Gav - keep missing them.

I followed the story of Jasper and it was truly heartbreaking. Such a magnificently brave wee man.

I'll donate with a tear in my eye for the wee fella :(.

sent a donation via my pay pal account, as a person who knows first hand the dreadful effects of blood cancers (my husband died of multiple myeloma) its only a drop in the ocean, but I do donate a small amount monthly to cancer research. Hope every little counts.

Gav and his brother Si (Jaspers Daddy) and many of their mates are cycling from Silverstone to Monza covering 800 miles in 9 days

In my part of the world that's roughly Inverness to Aberdeen every day for 9 consecutive days which is some undertaken for such wonderful causes and by two guys who will, as well as being physically tested, will be emotionally drained every day.

And their target is a modest £ 500.00.

It would be splendid if you could help.

Just saying    :)
