They would need to get the Dolmus to Marmaris Otogar and then bus to Fethiye. The bus was about 20tl when we went in April. The journey takes 3-3.5 hours.

the dolmus service from Icmeler to Marmaris is every couple of minutes, the  dolmuses in Marmaris are colour coded, its orange to Icmeler, then hop onto a light green dolmus to the otogar, buses always parked ready for Fethiye, as previously stated they are 20TL each way (I pay on the bus)  every 30 minutes from about 06.30am - 23.00 , direct, no changing busses they stop briefly at other towns on the way. I have never , pre booked a seat and have always found a place on the bus there and back. To save me going into Fethiye I get off at the Citroen garage at the top of BMB and walk down and when going back I walk to Gunlukbasi and get on outside the Pammukale office, the Marmaris bus almost always stops there. its an easy journey, can tend to be a bit hot and stuffy in the summer months.

Hi Steve A, we have just returned from Calis and while there we visited our son in Marmaris/Armutalan, looked into the bus but then got chatting to a taxi driver we used a few times, he offered a deal of 400tl (£112) for the return journey, he dropped us off and came back 2 days later for the return. Door to door the journey was one and a half hours, air conditioned and very comfortable, he also gave us a lot of info about certain areas on the way, great trip. Lot more expensive than the Dolmus and Bus but a lot less hassle and a lot quicker, he gave me his card so if you want his contact details PM me.   :)
