UBT, believe me if anything had happened to Gordon in Turkey I would not have waved the death certificate, I wou;d have gone ahead and held my breath.
My thoughts on the matter as well, but it would be nice to know about whether the government is that joined up, it gives you an idea of how quick, and fly, that you need to be.

So, what to do.
If we draw up a will, are iota wishes likely to be followed with the help of a solicitor at at a cost, as opposed to using an emlak or a non professional.

That what my mother did she sold a house in London bought a cheaper one in Wales gave all here money to myself and my brothers and sisters and signed the house in Wales over to us nothing left for the government to grab

Great for UK but not really relevant in Turkey.

Even if you do this in the UK. You have to be the legal owner of your parents house for at least seven years before they have died, I think you also have to show that they have paid rent and you have declared that rental income?

Inheritance, it's not straight forward anywhere but for those who inherit, life goes on.
