I'm sure it is pretty hot in Calis, but 50C? A temperature reading from a thermometer set in sunshine is just about meaningless. In Bristol this afternoon it is a little less than 19C - borderline tee-shirt weather. But I put a thermometer out in the sun to test this and it tells me it is 28C. In a pig's eye it is!

My Daughter was telling me the waiter's were all saying it's far too hot and much hotter than usual for this time of year. It's a real heatwave.   It was 42 degrees in my daughter's living room and that is not in the sun in the morning.  It's a shame their two weeks is almost up and they have hardly been anywhere because of the heat.
I also heard from a friend who has a shop in Fethiye and she said it was 40 degrees in the shop.
