Visit in November
« on: September 03, 2014, 21:02:11 PM »
Unexpectedly, I'm going to be coming to Calis Beach for a week in early November - I've only been in May and June previously so would be grateful for some advice on what sort of clothing to pack please?

Also, will much be open in Calis itself or will I be better to go to Fethiye to eat?

Thanks for any information you can offer!

Not a lot open in Calis, pretty cool especially in the evenings, maybe rain.

Take a mixture, jeans always good and a couple woollies. Pashminas useful. November can be lovely. Bring clothes that you can layer. It gets colder at night and sandals are not enough. Telescopic Umbrella and a compact cagoule will take little room in your case. You might never use them!   ;)

Also, I have read that there are not a lot of direct flights to and from the U.K. in November.

I've seen a few direct going out but coming back with Turkish via Istanbul. Is the weather ok in November? Much open?

Tom Cook fly from Gatwick and Manchester to Dalaman throughout November.Think all year service, 1 lght a week. Pegasus also fly fom Stansted  via Istanbul several days a week. No wait in Istanbul either.Weather can be changeable in November, so good advice to bring clothes you can layer.
Usually some places open in Calis, all open along new promenade in Fethiye. Many other restaurants open in Fethiye also.

Yes I'm booked on Thomas Cook from Manchester direct into Dalaman on Thursday and back the following Thursday.

I've booked a transfer down to Calis Beach with Resorthoppa which will be a first time with a shuttle service for me. Fortunately it's a 7am flight so I'm not arriving late at night!

Thanks for the advice.

Hopefully catch up with some of you when I'm there   :)

I was shocked at just how lovely November is. Warm sunshine in the daytime, dark early, but lovely winter sunsets.
Not loads open, but enough.
