Meat Feast
« on: November 07, 2014, 17:17:22 PM »
Following the recent thread about steaks and kilt-wearing cattle I thought I would post about meats
available in Lidl at the moment.
New Zealand Venison Steaks
New Zealand Venison Leg Steaks
New Zealand Diced Shoulder of Venison
Venison En Croute
Moose Leg Steaks
Veal Liver Slices
Diced Wild Boar
Kangaroo Steaks
plus others

Could be some wonky Rudolphs about Christmas.          :)

I once went to Norway for a conference. Meals tended to begin with a prawns and salmon starter followed by a main course of reindeer steak. The hotel had a covered atrium in which we eat. The table allocated to my group, and where we ate the steaks, was in the corner of the restaurant that featured an eight foot high stuffed reindeer - which peered over my shoulder as I chomped through one if its cousins. When I got home I told Hilary of my experience and she told my daughters "Christmas is off. Your father has eaten Rudolf!". Thanks, Hil.

Mouse leg steaks, there's not going to be much meat on them but each to their own.
