Sparkling new members - moving to Turkey
« on: July 17, 2005, 11:58:53 AM »
Hi everyone
Were'nt quite sure where to start so here goes:

We are Les and Beverley and are going to move abroad.  We have sold our house and were originally looking at moving to Crete but have become seriously interested in southern Turkey. Intially we are going to rent and have a look round different areas and at different types of properties before we decide to buy.

Does anyone know of a company that does inspection trips covering serveral areas or would it be best to do a package holiday and arrange to see properties through several estate agents during the visit?

Thanks
Les and Beverley

Hi sweatpea (hope you are not Les)

Can CERTAINLY recommend Ahmet Akay from Lagoon Estates - try their web site - brilliant people - would give them my shirt (just about have) with no regrets

Kind regards

Hi Sweetpea
We just took the plunge.  Flew out on an inspection trip and had a fantastic three days with Ahmet from Onur Estates (you can check out their website).  Of all the agents we initially emailed he was the most responsive a helpful.  Picked us up in the middle of the night and we stayed for 3 nights in a lovely apartment.  Really helpful - he was an English teacher - really new his way around the red tape (most of the officials were ex pupils - including at the bank!).  Cannot recommend enough.

Hi Les and Beverley, welcome to the forum and good luck with your search for a property. You should find this forum very useful for information about buying.
