Driver of the week - named and shamed

Driving down the Gunlukbasi Road in the direction of Fethiye yesterday morning I was badly 'cut up' by what I can only describe as an inconsiderate and dangerous bark.  I was in the outside lane (inside lane had parked cars in) travelling behind another vehicle, when a car approached behind at speed, he crossed the central no cross white line and came haring past me, and as he did he noticed a car coming the other way so he swung across into the space in front of me braking hard as he did so, causing me to brake sharply, to protect life, limb and vehicle.  I regained my composure but by then he had pulled into the inside lane, undertook the car in front of me, again at speed, then sped off at the right turn by Kipa. Now I know this happens too often here in Turkey, but I did not expect this to be by a vehicle with the signs on it for a well known company serving the property owner community here in Calis and around.

So step forward All Aspect Property Maintenance, I just hope that they are better at property safety and maintenance, than they are driving.

As someone who has used their services for a number of years in the past, I  have recommended their services a number of times to people...... needless to say, never again!

I don't think that AA frequent CBF any more so just to make sure that they see your post I've cut and pasted it into an email to them. Hopefully the manager will know who was out and about at that time and can have a word with them about their driving skills. It seems like a lucky escape that someone wasn't injured or even worse.

I don't find it strange , in any way, shape or form.  The standard of driving of ANY of their staff reflects upon the quality of the company , ANY company, or at least that was the criteria which I applied when hiring , and firing , employees in the past. If any company cannot hire staff who show respect for all, that company's standards need to be examined.

Sorry did I not make that clear above?  The answer is no I will not, and I will also not recommend them any longer.  Indeed, I will 'positively' not recommend them.  There all nice and clearly set out now.

And Steve there is nothing 'strange' about such a reaction either, a reasonable response from a reasonable man.  The points that Gordon makes says all I would have said as to the single 'rogue' employee too.

So, on the cloud which you live on , being behind the wheel of a vehicle , on one of the busiest streets in the area, does not come with a massive amount of responsibility ?? Deary, deary me, sit down somewhere dark and quiet, and have a wee word with yourself, will you,??
