Russell Brand has now decided his policy of not voting is wrong, so he is now going to vote.  He is supporting the Green Party and will now vote in the Election.
I see a problem here, how will he get to the States, where he had a 2 million pound home in L.A., to make his next film?   The Greens are totally against air travel.     ;) ;D
1.  I don't know anyone who feels morally bound to accept every single one of the policies of the party that they voted for. Most people make a compromise in choosing the least bad party. Does anyone on CBF think the party they vote for next week should determine their conscience on all matters?

2. Some members of the Green Party may be "totally against air travel" but this is not party policy. This is what it is:
* Introduce taxation on aviation that reflects its full environmental costs. Failure to tax aviation fuel, and choosing not to levy VAT on tickets and aircraft, amounts to a subsidy worth around £10bn every year in the UK alone.
* Stop airport expansion and shift shorter air journeys to the railways (45% of all air trips in the EU are under 500Km).

[On the first of these can anyone explain why aviation fuel isn't taxed while my car fuel is - to the hilt.]

3. I am glad to see that Brand has changed his position on voting. I think voting is better than not voting. Let's hope that if there people who are influenced by the repulsive Brand, that they decide to vote as well (even though we have passed the registration date). Well done Ed! ("Refreshes the parts other leaders can't reach" ;).

That is great if you have a railway to go to.  However Dr Beaching got rid of ours, which was the most stupid move, as he did it just before the Oil Industry Started in Aberdeen.
I have not heard a Green who wanted Air Travel.  Even their leader when asked how she gets home to visit her relatives in Australia was embarrassed and answered, she had not been home for years.   Our local Green was the guy who tried to stop Donald Trump building the Golf Course.  I have heard HIS policies which include not having a car, he rides a bike.  No more roads to be built and no more Air Travel.

My younger daughter, who lives in Edinburgh, was vehemently anti-independence. So it was rather a surprise when she phoned and somewhat sheepishly announced that she thought she would be voting SNP. She had gone through the manifestos and found theirs to be much the best. Obviously a well brought up woman. The polls suggest she will be far from alone in this decision - except on CBF of course.
