Urgent appeal to anyone from Animal Aid.
« on: May 21, 2015, 17:37:30 PM »
We have just arrived home and our neighbour's daughter and her partner has have found two kittens dumped the bins.  They are extremely young a few weeks old, eyes are opened but blue.
Laura goes home tomorrow and she does not know what to do with them.  She has given them some milk.  We have tried the Animal Aid number but it tells us it is the wrong number.  Can anyone please help??
Thanks.

Jacqui you need to put a post on the Facebook Animal Aid page and someone will respond on there, they don't have a phone number now

They are having a quiz at the Letoon, someone is going down to see them about the kittens.  I really think the kittens need a foster mum.

Sorry, Karen, It seems that Animal Aid have no room as the Cat Shelter is full.  I don't know what our neighbours are now suppose to do with these tiny kittens as the neighbours are off home tomorrow.  Should they just put them back at the bins and leave them to die??  I have to say I am really disappinted and now worried about these kittens

Yes Jaquie the shelter is full and we are working our socks off trying to keep everyone happy, sorry you are disapointed! There are hundreds of kittens about at the moment.
These two kittens are about four to five weeks old and should be eating soft food now and not to difficult to look after for a few weeks until they are able to fend for themselves.
We are looking for foster carers to take these young ones like these on but it's very difficult with having so many about.
Yes we were at the animal aid quiz tonight trying to raise more funds to help the situation.

We now have an offer of a foster carer but not until Sunday, can you care for them til then? That should be able to eat grated chicken or soft food   :)
