Promises Auction Not Cancelled!!!!
« on: May 27, 2015, 14:32:44 PM »
Just in case anyone is reading this post for the first time and does not bother reading to the end of the thread, I have amended the heading. To confirm tonights (June 3)  Charity Promises Auction is definately on.
The weather is looking good now so it is all systems go. We look forward to seeing you tonight.

Now back to thenoriginal post ..................
]Due to thunderstorms being forecast for this evening on several weather websites, the 3C's have decided to cancel tonights auction. We are really sorry and apologise to anyone who has planned their evening around the auction but we cannot take the risk with the electrics.
Next Wednesdays auction on June 3 will go ahead as planned and will feature the items listed for tonights auction so that means you have an extra week to let us have your internet commission bids on these lots. The second part of the auction  will then be rescheduled on a different date t.b.a.
Please could you let everyone know who might be intending to come tonight. Thank you

What a shame.  Will have to go and get my nails done now, cannot wait another week to bid for the voucher.  Hope the second sale is before we leave.

Well it looks as though the weather men got it wrong as the storm never materialised, athough it did go very grey around 8.30ish and the wind got up and it got cold.  Still better to be safe than sorry as we would hate for this years auctioneer Karaokemark to have gone up in a puff of smoke.

Like I said earlier the auction is now rescheduled for next Wednesday and the new posters are already up.  It will be a similar catalogue to last nights one (see list for first auction under the 3C's section of CBF) but there will be a few tweaks and a few additional  promises added.  The remainder of the promises and any new promises received in the meantime  will be auctioned at a second auction at a date still to be arranged.

We have now reopened internet bidding for items in the first auction  for those who are unable to attend next Wednesday so if there is anything there that you would like to place a bid on, please pm me with your starting bid and what you would like to bid up to.  Nearly all of the promises cover the whole of the tourist season so you will be able to use them when you are out on holiday or if it is a physical item we can keep it safe for you until you arrive. Smaller items can also be posted out in UK.

The revised list for this coming Wednesdays rescheduled auction (June 3) to be held at the Nil and Bambu restaurants can be found at the above link. Internet bidding is now open for anyone who wishes to place a bid who is unable to get there on the night. Please pm me if you are interested in making a bid. Thanks

Thanks Anne.  Tomorrow nights auction will go ahead come rain or come shine.  All of the catalogues have been amended and the lot numbers changed and we are raring to go with some really great bargains, so whether it is ex pat goodies, dental packages, meals out, spirits, designer jewellery, watches, bags and sunglasses, day trips, a fridge freezer or other household goods. original  paintings, mountains of English chocolate and English  CHEESE (!!! ) you are after  - we have something for everyone.  Please come along, have fun and help support our charity to provide more hearing implants and aids for deaf children in the local area.  Viewing will commence at the Bambu on Calis seafront at 5.00 pm until 7.00 pm and the auction will start at 7.00 pm prompt and will take in both the Bambu and the Nil restaurants. You will need to register to obtain a bidding card and catalogue (2TL) in order to bid.

If you cannot make the auction but would  like to make an online bid, you can do so through the forum.  Please take a look at the list for tomorrow nights auction under the 3C's section of the forum, and then PM me with your bids.  You have until 10.00 am tomorrow morning to do this. This facility will then close.  Thank you.
