The dreaded Residence Permit
« on: May 28, 2015, 08:12:58 AM »
I am about to embark on this journey and thought I best read about it.

Both me and my wife have new passports so we have to travel to Aydın.

I logged onto the website, and straight away I have a query. On the documentation I have read in "the require documents" section we have to take 4 biometric size passport photos, but on the website it asks you to upload a photo- I'm confused

We also have a tax number so do we just take the original and photocopies with us.

I went to a meeting yesterday at the Kayakman building in Fethiye, expecting to receive many answers to the questions. The presentation group came from Bodrum and did not bring a translator with them. Fortunately a kind gentleman in the audience stepped up to help.

When you get your photo's done get the shop to give you the jpeg file or e mail it to you as you do have to upload it as well as having copies.

Easyrider, maybe just a slip of the fingers, but if you're in Fethiye you will go to Mugla NOT Aydin. If you're on Facebook there is a page on there called Doc Martins Surgery for Expats, loads of RP info. Hope Scunner doesn't mind me mentioning this.

If its your first  residency, I think you have to  go Mugla, for this area.

If you have renewed your passport during your last residency, you also have to go to Mugla, and your application will be classed as a first time application.
