What a shock, lovely guy, a bit of a " grump " at times, just like myself I s'pose !! I only had the pleasure of meeting him on the one occasion, when I had brought over a few 1.5 kilo rolls of proper Scottish black pudding, and he decided he would love to buy one from us. Well, Lance turned up at ours , got a handful of coins out of about 3 different pockets, counted it out, and was 20 or so Kurus short , he looked at me with a mischievous grin and said ! that'll do it Gordy, won't it ? " he took the Black Pudding and off he trotted down our driveway with a huge smile on his face !!
I s'pose that's another 20 Kurus that I can wave goodbye to then  : ??

CBF has lost a REAL character, and will be the worst for it .

I never met him but loved trying to understand his posts. A real legend. RIP Lance.

I'm seriously saddened by the news.

Lance and I always had a bit of a thing going on but it was always with the best if humour.

Such shocking and horribly sad news, I think everyone here must have had a big soft spot for our Lance. He always made me laugh at his ability not to waste words. Our deep condolences to his wife Irina who must be devastated. RIP xx
