Salads.
« on: July 25, 2015, 13:18:48 PM »
Hello everyone.
We are due to arrive in Calis on the 10 august and i was wondering where the best place for Salads are. Most places i have found tend to have just basic plain lettuce tomato and cucumber. what i like would be the same but with peppers, mixed lettuce, fruit, fetta cheese, avacado ect and  balsamic vinegar, olive oil or a nice french dressing. I know all of this may  be asking too much but anything close would be great.
Cheers in advance.
Liz.

I would think a lot of restaurants would add feta etc to your salad if you asked? Ive often asked for extras on salads and they've always been happy to oblige. There is often Nar, oil and vinegar along with  the S&P to dress the salad to your own taste.

I know that, but if you want avocado, French dressing, balsamic vinegar etc you'd be better off making your own salad.

We often share a mixed salad as either a starter or to accompany our meal in Turkey and they are usually absolute fab and outclass any other salads ever for flavour and freshness. Any of the restaurants would happily add cheese/ meat/ fish etc. Not something to worry about.

One of the best salads I have had is from the Pizza Calisito pizza place in Cslis, it has cubes of feta cheese chopped black olives, parsley, some other bits and some sort of oil, Aydin Pide salad is also nice, I think that has the pomegranate oil/ dressing on it....

Agree with that Karen. We always have a salad to accompany our pizza home delivery. It is a complete meal in itself. Never eaten in the restaurant itself, but if it is anything like as good as the home delivery, it is excellent.  :)
