your right we do beat ourselves up over fellow countrymen/women because I think we expect better from our own. I have heard hotel owner complaining about the Germans, Russians and Polish about their arrogance and greed filling their pockets with every morsel they can find at breakfast and using it to snack on for the rest of the day no wonder they are a thriving country, I have watched them pick up the whole basket of bread then leave most of it on their table while others have to ask for more bread to be put out ? A German man once came and sat at our table and started chatting as if he were with us then attempt to add his drinks to our bill,  :o luckily I was one step ahead of him and had already told the barman.

Me and the other half were out one night on the harbour having a meal etc. We went to catch the dolmus home and there were a few people waiting. One of them was a man who obviously had partaken of a few Efes's. There was also a young turkish woman waiting with her son who was about 3 or 4 years old. The dolmus came and before the woman could stop him, her son jumped on the bus (as kids do). The woman tried to stop him but was too slow, so she started to get on. Suddenly, this drunk excuse of a man pushed me aside and started having a go at the woman for pushing in.  She was very embarrassed, but I just smiled at her to get on and it was no bother. We got on and sat down, but all this drunk was shouting on about was 'Ignorant Turks". As he passed me on the bus, he looked at me  and said ' You want to be more of a man". Well, with that I half rose about to pitch him straight off the dolmus when the wife stopped me. He could see that I was annoyed with him. Anyway, we got off the dolmus and was just walking home when we saw him again having a go at another turkish woman. He saw me and ran off. What had happened was he saw me get me and the wife get off, and he got off about 100 yards further on, not realising that we were going in to near enough the same place.
