We like The Pines, the food is good and tasty plus it's a pleasant change from the front.
Can't comment on the Chinese as we've not tried it but have heard it can be a bit hit and miss

Pines Restaurant is very good.  We had a meal there in June.
Shanghai Blue can be a hit or a miss.  We ate there last year and the food was not good.  I complained about my meal and was not charge for it.   To finish the meal we asked for coffee, they did not have any.
We did try twice for a delivery, but even after us leaving them a map and us being about 5 minutes drive away, they could not find us.
We did not bother with it this year, but did read on CBF that the prices had gone up.

Think will give the Chinese a wide berth , not worth the risk  . And yes it looks quite expensive
With the rate so good eating out is so cheap anyway

We always have a few take outs from the Shaghai Blues and have never been disappointed . Food always good and delivered within 30 mins. From other earlier reviews it appears  the bad reviews are from people who have eaten in. I would say though that the ribs are not very good,so would avoid them but the noodle and rice dishes are lovely and plentiful.
