A question Would this have happened in UK
« on: September 09, 2015, 16:32:00 PM »
Very recently a friend of mine was on a dolmus and was taken ill and collapsed. The people on the dolmus tried to help and the driver did no more but  drove him straight to the hospital. The dolmus was fully loaded with passengers and none of them complained about the inconvenience. How kind was that .I don't believe a bus driver in UK would  have done that but I may be wrong as it is so long since I lived there.

IF it had happened in the UK, the driver would have been sacked for going off route and/or sued by the passengers for wasting their time.  ;)

Plod would also be throwing in a charge of driving with no insurance, as he was no longer on his route.

Hmmmmm......................Plod would probably wait 15 years THEN put a taskforce on the investigation. Unless of course, the bus driver lived at an even numbered address.

One of the reasons we really love this part of the world is the awesome response of the local people to their fellow humans, regardless of origin. Friendly and kind.

Perhaps not for a variety of reasons (some of which are valid) but I believe that the driver and the passengers would have wanted it to as much as the good people of Turkey.

Totally agree with LEES. They are a lovely race of people. That's why I love Turkey so much.

I'm a Bus driver, and my instructions are to safely park the bus and phone ambulance / paramedics await there arrival and transfer passengers to another vehicle . Well done the Dolmus  driver going above and beyond the call of duty.
