Vin wifi
« on: September 11, 2015, 20:16:52 PM »
Hi, we are back in Calis in 3 weeks, when we were there in June we bought a vin wifi.
Does the data that you purchased with it expire after a certain amount of time if not used?
What is the cost to top up with 10gb?

Thanks.

10GB is 79tl and lasts for 90 days, unless that is you use it all up before then.

We bought ours in June and were told it lasts 6 months then is wiped off, same as Turkish mobile phones, best investment ever here paid for itself times over instead of using Internet cafes & buying drinks, we checked our credit when we arrived end August & still have lots left lasts for a long time unless you are downloading data

Going off at a slight tangent, does anyone know if I can top it up online via my Garanti bank account - by choosing the top up option from the bills tab?

I saw a post from someone who had tried to top up at a non-Turkcell shop and was told they could only do mobiles, not the Vinn widgets....wondering if online is the same. Would be far easier than schlepping into town if not....

Ooo we would like to get wifi when we're over from Monday for 2 weeks. What's this be widget and where do we get one? Does it basically give you wifi in your villa? How much would it cost roughly?
Thanks ☺️

It costs about 150TL + the sim card and top up so about another 50Tl from Turkcell shops. I bought one a few years ago so prices will have changed. There are places you can rent them for about £25 for a fortnight in Hisaronu, not sure about Calis.
