Wet road conditions, road packed and this guy hanging onto the tarpaulin on the back of a lorry.  Lorry only had stop or take off quickly and he would have been off.   I was so glad when the lorry pulled over as I was nervous travelling behind him.

Anyone with an ounce of compassion would have got as close to the back of the truck as possible. At least then if he'd fallen off, your car would have broken his fall.

No problem Menthol.  I watched this guy hanging on as we followed the lorry for about 10 minutes. Phil made me feel worst by say that the guy had no purchase on the hold he had on the tarpaulin.  I was so pleased to see the lorry pull in and stop.

I thought Your Maj had a pair of servants like that -  you know in gold cloth suit, white powdered wig, riding cap, white pop socks and patent leather pumps -  riding in similar style at the rear of your carriage.  I suppose you haven't spotted them in their role amongst your large obeisance* of servants.
