« on: September 29, 2015, 13:40:13 PM »
Hi everyone
Whats happening with the above hotel I know it was due for demolition - has that happened yet?
What are they building in its place? when  is it likely to be up and running?

Cheers
Tony

No work yet, but land at the rear of the swimming pool has been cleared, maybe part of new hotel?

The diggers are in today grubbing out all of the tree roots in the land across the road behind the hotel (most of the Eucalyptus trees here  were cut down ready back inJuly) so it looks as though work starting is imminent. As we only live next door to this piece of land which is supposed to be part of the same development  will keep you updated.

The bulldozers moved into the Seketur hotel grounds yesterday afternoon and we have just driven by and it is half demolished already. It should be completely down in a couple of days. It is interesting to watch but a real shame to see it go. Will have to see what happens next.

The Sekatur hotel as it is now (looking from the promenade) - the only thing left is the separate restaurant area (located to the right outside of the photos) which hasn't been touched yet. Maybe this will become the site hut?
