I wouldn't put it past the Sensatori owners to do this. Pump raw sewage uphill, then along the main Dalaman road and then divert it back towards the sea along the main Calis canal.

It is probably from one of the boats....or perhaps from a cruise liner that has sneaked up the canal when no one was looking.

You might have a point Jacqui as I'm sure the canal will be affected by the tides - maybe the crap was just on it's way back after being sent inland from the boats  

Liners only dump when they are at sea so it's unlikely they are the culprits - so you can sleep easy on that one  

Surprised you haven't found a way to blame the Sensatori customers - maybe they dumped it on one of their rare excursions from the all inclusive luxury that they are so reluctant to leave?

It was the Sensatori customers that chartered the cruise liner to sail up the canal to download the affluent effluent.

Who else could it be.?   Perhaps if Tink's is on patrol in the area he could try and capture the culprits on film,

and ask them to cut the crap.!!
