Xmas
« on: December 12, 2015, 08:33:31 AM »
Folks, over for December to see what Winter is like here and unsure whether
to spend Xmas here or buzz over to Antalya to one of the Hotels there, as tad quiet
in the Hotel!

Is there anything much going on in Calis? Would we miss out on things
if we went?

Can anyone help with any recommendtions in Antalya ......or here for that matter!  :)

Thanks in heart thumping anticipation!

John

Seems like half of Calis is going to Club Sera this year, but recent reports of that hotel haven't been too good.

Both the Nil and Mancero have their Christmas  menu's here on CBF and they both look very good.
However, you could look at flights to Istanbul,  I know they are sometimes really cheap and I could recommend a few days there.

Barut Lara. In Antalya. Is our favourite hotel in Lara Beach... But more money than the rest but import drinks and waited in hand and foot.. It has a lively atmosphere... We used to find that the Xmas dinner in Calus were very similar to a Sunday Lunch but three times the price with a bit if stuffing thrown on... Only went to one. Never again.. PM. Me if you want to avoid it... Most if the hotels in Lara are good but like Liz says The Club Sera food is awful...

Yep I was one of them, nice case of salmonella, that I have still not fully recovered from.  Besides that the service and quality of food and drink has plummeted.  Avoid the place like the plague.

John if it was me I'd head for Antalya 5* all inclusive, pay a little extra and go to one of the better hotels with the better trip advisor rating IN THE WINTER MONTHS.  Also recommend that you use Travel Republic for booking.

Phil was looking at Antalya for a trip next year and that Hotel you mention the Club Sera, is not getting good reviews on T.A.
