Another update from visitors that went to the Dalaman camp yesterday.

There are 22 families living on the camp: 104 persons in total, of whom 46 are kids: 12 babies requiring nappies from 3-day to 2-year-olds; 9 kids in the ages of 3-4-5-6, and 25 schoolchildren (7-8-9-10 ages). They no longer need clothes, but they will need food and cleaning material. One need we noticed is cold cream.. to soothe the rough hand and face skins women and children get from the cold…

A fair few of us have donated items today and word is spreading.
We're buying food and donating bedding, toys etc.

You are quite correct Linda. Some of us just get on with it.

It is true that some have quietly got on with making a donation. But, it is equally true that if people don't comment then the post is seen by less people and ultimately dies the death and by commenting and offering to make a monetary donation others, hopefully will be inspired and motivated to do the same.

This is a public post on Facebook so anyone should be able to see the conditions these children are living in and if anyone wants to help they can, if not for this visit then for future visits in the New Year. And for the reasons I have mentioned it does help if people comment.

Where is this camp? Lots of people asking. Not sure they can make the deadline tomorrow but want to take stuff to the people there. I would drive supplies thee as I am sure other people would do also.
I am sure lots of people will help initially, but perhaps this has to be ongoing?

It near Dalaman, Gocek area, I'm not exactly sure where, the people to ask would be EJ' s on their link above.
I'm sure this won't be a one off, hopefully everyone will pick up a few extra bits when they're shopping and keep an eye open for when the next trip is going.
The deadline is midday Monday for this particular run.

If every British person living in this area, here over the Christmas period, gave just 10 lira each, or even more, whatever anyone wants to suggest as a reasonable amount,supplies that these poor people desperately need could be purchased. Though I am sure lots of people are donating goods I am sure there are lots of other items they need. I really do not know how to get this off the ground, but I know with the power of CBF this could be achieved.
These poor people are in our back yard, let's help them. The photos on Facebook are heart breaking.
