Three weeks tomorrow, we'll be arriving for a 30 night stay!!  I don't expect Calis to be any different from what it was in June.
Yes, Turkey is in 'a bit of a tacking' as we say in Yorkshire, but so are great swathes of the middle east and Europe!  It is up to the Turks to sort it out, which I believe they will in due course.

I've been a member of CBF for only five years and enjoyed reading the banter, witticism, genuine helpfulness and some "tongue in cheek' replies, along with the occasional irate comments from members who feel upset over a personal issue.  I have to say though, that for the first time, I feel deeply sad when reading the posts between Anne and Jacqui on this thread.  I know the issue has nothing to do with me and people may say "mind your own business".................and you're probably right, but I just felt moved to express my feelings.   :(

Not back in 2017 only so far.

The present Mrs H and I are still going.    ;)
Where is Alan Turing when you need him to solve perplexities like this? H, are you back in 2017, or not? And if "less" what colour is it?

"Not back in 2017 only so far" - referred to your decision and was in response to Jacqui's post which read as though you were never going back or at least that's how I read it

The present Mrs H and I are still going but not necessarily in 2017   ;).

PS I am glad that I seem to have got this back on topic which was my intention.   :)

We are going in 2016 but due to huge globetrotting commitments and celebrationals, not in 2017. Nothing to do with states of emergency, terrorist threats, human rights issues or anything, we just can't fit it in  :)

I think it will be the first time we haven't visited (or been in) Turkey for a whole calendar year since 2001.
