It isn't because Mugla for example is considered dangerous or there have been any atrocities it's because more Americans live their.I wonder if this has more to do with the Obama/Erdogan break down as much as the security situation.Maybe sending a message here

Its Mugla because of the American service personnel stationed at Aksaz Naval Base in Marmaris. Also is it just a coincidence that this news comes out just before informal talks between Obama and Erdogan in Washington tomorrow.

Normally, here in Hisaronu ...  we get a few holidaymakers  over the Easter week,,,, certainly in years gone by  there has always been a  a few around.   But this Easter week there seems hardly a soul around.. is Calis the same  ?    and this is only the beginning   :-X :-\

I read recently the percentage of bookings  from the UK   this year has dropped  from 40%    to 50%   less bookings   :( I also heard from a reliable source that a local block of apartments .. 34 units..  most owners rent out.. that only two weeks have been booked so far on the entire complex !!!!   how bad is that  ???   :'(

  In today's press Antalya bookings are down 40 %.  I think the Zarrab court case  in the US will drag Turkey into the

  headlines for all the wrong reasons, and any further acts of violence  will just finish the season off for tourist businesses.

Well it's now less then 48hrs until I will be in air on my way to calis. Spoke to  someone at one of the depots I deal with for my job & mentioned I was on hols next week,  asked where I was going & when I said turkey was met with the usual oh be safe, media has a lot to answer for.

We have a friend over there just now getting some dental work done.  He said he's never seen it so quiet and is going into Fethyie most nights as there is just empty bars and restaurants in Calis. 
I know the season has yet to start but schools are on holiday at the moment so I would expect a few more people to be around.

most bars dont open till May Anne, and the children break up from school.
