Proper 'English' Beers from Mugla
« on: April 03, 2016, 20:25:00 PM »
One thing I miss here in Turkey is English beer and ales.  So it is refreshing - geddit - to report that you can now get English type ales from a Brewery in Mugla.  So yesterday the Present Mrs Tickets went to the 'offy' near to the fish market to get me some samples... bless her!!  I have yet to taste them, but I will try them over the next couple of days and report back on how they shaped up.

One is a blonde ale, 5% ABV, which I am hoping will be the same as the golden ales you get in the UK.. The other is a red ale which is a very potent 7%, and the other is a black malt ale, that I am hoping will be like a nice drop of London Porter.
This is how they look, see below, I'll get back soon and report whether I am happy or delighted, hopefully not disappointed.

Mr WB also misses English ales but has given Gara Guzu the thumbs-up UBT - I hope you enjoy them when you finally try them!

We're considering an outing to the brewery to stock up properly.  :D
