Lighthouse and Eyna
« on: April 04, 2016, 14:33:18 PM »
On our stroll along the prom yesterday we stopped off at the Lighthouse for a coffee.  Erhan from the Eyna has been in the place over the winter, while building work was carried out at the Eyna, and it looks like he is staying on a permanent basis now at the Lighthouse.  He has given he place nice facelift, and it looks like the bar and restaurant will specialise in Turkish Pider and other Turkish food.  Its a big place, particularly now he has removed the boat and pirate, and so he has included an integrated but separate - if that makes sense -  coffee and cake cafe.  Here are some pictures I took of the revamped Lighthouse:

So don't forget if you use the Lighthouse as a reference point on your ambles along the prom, the boat and pirate have gone.

And for those of you wondering how things are progressing on the Eyna build, here is a picture I took yesterday and it has come on in the last couple of weeks.  As to what is happening to it precisely, I do not know.

The Lighthouse has former glory to revive - it was the new place on the block and the place to be in 2004 ish - to get it back to those high standards would be fabulous  :)

Turkey's for Life recently reviwed the Lighthouse - with photos. I'm looking forward to going and trying it for myself.

1 the bluneness of the sky ( am missing that!)
2 the Lighthouse looks fabulous really inviting
3 seeing the new Eyna / Georges bit of a tear in the eye job for how they were before, hubby and i love paying a visit to the charity shop...

Tried the Lighthouse last time we were over, food and hospitality were great. Nice mix of British and Turkish people.
