Change of address ,idiot guide needed

I have been told that our address like many others has changed,therefore the bank did not renew my Dask.It would have been nice of them to tell us.I cannot get house insurance because I haven't got the new address.iam told that I need to take my tapu somewhere so they can update it then arrange my Dask and insurance on the updated address.You would have thought that each time I have paid my council tax they would have notified me but hey ho this is Turkey.To cap it all they have been and cut my water off,taking the meter with them ,this was paid up to date in September ,villa only used two weeks after that and no water bill delivered !
So can anyone advise on change of address please and how easy is it to get water back on ?

When we changed our address we went to Nufus office and local Muhchtar(hope spelling is correct). Some say Nufus is enough. Would reckon a visit to the water office would fix water problem.

I think you will find that your water meter was registered to a particular address, which yours is no longer

The water people do not cut you off for failure to pay

My mother-in -law had her electric meter taken when she was in Fethiye in our Apartment.  They brought new one so maybe they are renewing yours Steve A. She didn't know they were doing this just discovered when she got back to Ankara

The ting is I haven't changed my address,I think it's because there were some villas built next to us so ours changed but we only found out when we noticed the bank had the Dask returned.So what do I take and where do I go does anyone have any experience of this

Forgive me in advance for my stupiddddness but why has your address changed please Steve?
Pretty sure iv not heard of this hope we dont arrive next weekend to no water etc!

I think what happens is they designate sokaiya numbers and at the time of designation the houses are numbered.As time goes on more houses are built on the sokak so the Belediye review and tenumber

Yep that's how it happens.  Happened to us, very conveniently some six months after getting our five year visa....ggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
