Rooms are the most perishable commodity in any hotel. If you don't sell it tonight, you can't sell it twice tomorrow to make up the deficit.

It's strange how Turkey bookings are down so much but all the deal/discount emails list Spain, Canaries, Greece, Portugal, in fact nearly everywhere except Turkey.

This is the same for flights and holidays and from Thomson, Jet2 and others.

The airlines cancelled a lot of flights to Turkey and have to offer a lot of additional flights to Spain, Portugal, Greece .....
