Steve,

Nice agent that one! Can you please let us know who would do this to you so that we can avoid he or she in future!

It was Lutes Estates .I emailed people I found on the internet before I went and was intending to go by ourselves for a week but the lady Pat from there kept ringing about a 4 day inspection trip but i told here we wanted a week so as to have a holiday aswell as look at property and in the end she said she would arrange for 1 week all inclusive for £200 each and show us their properties .I had already given them a budget of £40000 .When we got there we were shown properties from £66,000 - £130,000 .we went monday night and Pat who had told us she would be there to show us around was nowhere to be seen and on thursday evening her husband who is Turkish said we had to pay for the remaining 4 nights ourselves (although I had given her my credit card details to pay the £400 1 week before we left) at £50 per night and to pay him in cash and he would pay via his credit card I said I wanted to speak to Pat but he said he could not get her on the phone. I was so angry we left him by his car at Tas Firin where we had gone for food about 10 pm
The following morning at breakfast he turned up and asked what we were doing and we said we would go home as we were not happy with what had happened he said he would give us £1000 back when we bought and I told him we would not be buying now .He blamed us for being awkward and got up and left we did not see or hear him again and he was supposed to take us back to the airport but as far as they know we are still walking.
The story's he came out with you would not believe

sorry to hear about your bad experience with lute
there are good firms who would have looked after you better
why did you give them 1000£
you only pay that if you are going to buy a property which you wish to buy.
at the moment foreigners are not allowed to buy so be careful as you may lose this money
welcome to the forum ask here any questions you want to know, someone here will help you if possible

I did not give Lutes £1000 he said he would give it to me if I bought
He was telling me he was the builder but one person he introduced me to said they bought from someone else and he said he built the villa and sold it to them (Roger and Brenda)

ok stevedunn
youre right in thinking lutes not good company
dont take it that just because someone says they builder/owner/share in property
please  check them out they should have paperwork to say they own land or the property etc.etc
becareful of giving anyone money for property at this moment in time(because of new laws)
hope you house is every thing you want.

Steve
Really sorry to hear about your bad experience. It must have really left a nasty taste. Be heartened though by all the success stories and the info you have recieved so far of positive conclusions. We bought with Tulip properties and received a really good service.

Good luck with your next attempt and great to see you will still return to Calis.
