Edi,s Silver shop
« on: June 16, 2016, 17:59:22 PM »
Have always read such good reports about is shop, so decided it was time to pay a viait a week ago, lovely people in there and the jewellery was a great price, so had to treat myself, and also brought a birthday present for a special friend in there, all the jewellery was packed so well, and a very good price.

Ed's son has a small workshop behind the Berlin Jewellers, opposite the Dawn Beach Bar. He makes jewellery of all kinds to the customers requirements and does repairs, a lovely man, like his dad, and very reasonable prices for high class work.  :)

I did not know that was Edi's son in Safir??   We use Safir all the time for repairs, cleaning and also they have made jewellery for me.  I wonder which one is Edi's son as there are a couple of them in there.

Really, are you sure that it's Ed's son? The reason I ask is we recently brought a very unique piece from Edi, (that was not jewellery), and we showed it to the Safir  to see if he could replicate this piece, and he asked where we'd brought it. I'm pretty sure he would of know where it had come from if Edi was his father??
I'm puzzled.

I thought there was little in common.  Edi is quite liberable in his attitudes and I know the boys in Saphir are very conservative.  They even pray behind the curtains during the day...

I took 4 pieces of jewellery for repair to the workshop, and Edi was in there chatting. Not sure if that means anything but we had great service from the 2 guys, including repairing and upsizing  ring I had to get cut off, repair a link on a bracelet,  renew a clasp on a gold chain and adding a safety chain to a bracelet which did not have one. £35 in total which I thought was amazing value.   :)

He does joke a bit.  We went in a couple of weeks ago to pick up a repair and there was a couple in there looking at stones to get a ring made.  The guy from Saphir told them he had made the ring I was wear and they both looked at it.  Then he said he also made my engagement ring and they believed him.  I must look very young or he must look very old.
