So we agree

Depends how far their territory is.  Baba Firin is quite a way from Cafe Pazzar.  So, if you are in said Baba Firin and the dogs from Cafe Pazzar come down to have a fight with some other dogs (perhaps they live near Baba Frrin) do you relax as they are just defending their territory and you have no fear of being attacked?  I know when we were crossing the road to our car, I was quite concerned.  I was glad to get in the car.

My point is that attacking each other and attacking passers by are very different situations

Well, I was not staying around to take a chance.  Once I hear the growls and saw the teeth.  I thought to myself. I know these dogs are only fighting with themselves and they will not attack me...They are sensible dogs. However, I will just hop in the car and go.  Phil shouting to me "Get in" really made no difference   ;) :-*.

Jacqui - this is the area I am referring to and if you are walking around here on a daily basis - what you saw is not happening all day long BUT it is not  uncommon and can be scary if you are going directly past it at the time.

Well Jacqui you will be hard pushed to find many places in and around Fethiye area, where dogs don't protect their territory

I am sure the elderly Turkish gentleman that was forced of his push bike this morning on the Calis seafront thinks the same about the gentle street dogs.He came off his bike near Hotel Mutlu due to 3 dogs going for his legs.We helped him up and chased the dogs away (Bloody Pests) in my view.

I'm not a dog lover and wouldn't be happy about dogs roaming about near my kids. They're unpredictable (dogs and my kids).

One dog nicked my youngest's shoe from outside the bar by the dolmus terminus and everyone had a good laugh as I had to chase/coax/threaten/bribe the bloody thing over the course of an hour to get it to drop it...much to amusement of my lot and everyone else who was watching.

I already had enough to worry about on hearing that Mangal's has closed/changed hands...where am I going to get the best chips in the world now???

Forget Brexit, this is what's important.
