We have had our place in Calis for 10 years now and I can honestly say we have NEVER seen a nasty street dog.  Yes they do walk around together, yes they also go for other dogs that come onto their territory, the reason they bark at/attack bikes is because somewhere down the line a scumbag has probably kicked hell out of them.  My 8 year old daughter has grown up with these dogs and loves them, we always carry treats for them everywhere we go.  Let's not forget these dogs didn't ask to be dumped on the streets or be mistreated, all they want is food, love and affection.  If you don't like dogs then ignore them and they will leave you alone.

For the lady asking about Quick (the Lion dog), he has been taken by some English bloke but he's escaped a few times and come back to the Nil Bar

Yes all bikes are pests when you are walking up Calis front, they are riding behind you and you cant here them coming.

And just how many times have you been scared, attacked , frighten to walk in areas and dodged piles of poo from cyclists ?

And I have never been bitten by a dog, or seen piles of poo on Calis  front, the dogs just want a bit of fuss, not kicked by Turkish cyclists
when they ride by?

I ride a small motorcycle - very  slowly and very sensibly at age 65 - and I have been attacked many times by dogs yet I have never willingly aggravated (I even slow right down to go past them - generally  but not always 10 mph gets little or no reaction) or tried to hit a dog. I find myself more and more avoiding certain dog  congregating areas and often see unsuspecting cyclists or motorcyclists heading for trouble - which all too often transpir

Coincidentallye one of those areas was right outside Tinx`s old house where a large dog sat most of the day and not matter how I tried I couldn't pass that dog without a chase so in the end I gave up anxiety's went home another way.
I would also add that we walk past the same dog regularly and he was lovely but clearly disliked bikes / scooters.

So I  am inclined to side with Mac2010 and feel very sorry for the elderly chap.

Yes that's Aslan, or as I call him Chewbacca.  Suspect that photo was taken a while back because he will have had his summer clip by now.  Very amiable boy.  Doubt very much whether he's chased a bike in his life.  As far as I know he's living in Uzumlu but is occasionally seen in Fethiye and Calis with his British owner.

We've got a dog in our street in Karagozler.  Sometimes he barks, sometimes he doesn't.  He doesn't like the bin lorry but is ok with scooters and bikes.

Just saying...
